Circuit Builder: Series & Parallel Circuits

Step 1 of 5 — Add parts

Click the toolbar buttons above the workbench to drop parts onto the canvas. Every challenge tells you exactly which parts and how many you need (see "You need" under the target diagram on the left).

Step 2 of 5 — Connect two terminals to make a wire

Every part has two small circles (terminals). Click a terminal, then click points on the grid to route your own path, then click the destination terminal to finish. Or skip the grid clicks and go straight terminal-to-terminal for an automatic connection.

Step 3 of 5 — A worked example: Battery + Bulb

Challenge 1 needs two wires to close the loop: left terminal to left terminal, and right terminal to right terminal. This is exactly what a finished, correct Challenge 1 looks like:

Step 4 of 5 — Move, select, delete

Drag a part's body (not its terminals) to reposition it. Click a part to select it — a "Delete Selected" button appears, or just press Delete/Backspace. Click any wire to remove it. Double-click a part to remove it instantly.

Step 5 of 5 — Check, answer, advance

Click Check Circuit. If your wiring matches the target, you'll see which bulbs would light up, plus a quick multiple-choice question. Answer it correctly to unlock Next Challenge. Stuck? Click Show Hint under the target diagram at any time, or the "?" button up top to see this guide again.
